The Prospective Genetic Risk Evaluation and Assessment (PROGRESS) in Autism Center at Columbia University will utilize multidisciplinary research to follow the development of newborns with identified genetic risk factors that make them susceptible to developmental differences. We seek to understand the impact that receiving genetic information has on families and how this information influences parental well-being. The PROGRESS team works with families to understand their child’s development and direct them toward available resources for early interventions for developmental difficulties.
