Miosha (she/her) is the community liaison for the DCN lab. She joined the lab in November 2022, after her not-for-profit, Read It and Leave It, was approached by the lab for possible recruitment. Miosha graduated from Binghamton University with a B.A. in English and later obtained a MPA. In the lab, Miosha provides support to the community-engaged arm of the lab, in addition to assisting with literature reviews and recruitment for other projects. Outside of the lab, Miosha owns two small businesses, one dedicated to highlighting individuals that are positive role models in communities of color, and a literacy enrichment organization dedicated to building culturally conscious home libraries for children of color. Miosha is a mother, avid reader, and loves to travel.
