Claudia Espinoza-Heredia

Graduate Student

Claudia (she/ella) joined the DCN lab in Fall 2021 as a PhD student in the Psychology Department. Her research interests include understanding the role of environmental factors and experience, particularly culture, on early brain development. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science with a Neuroscience Concentration at UC Berkeley in May 2018. Post graduation, she joined the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at NYU for two years as a Research Associate/Lab Manager studying the impact of environment on fetal brain development via MRI studies. Outside of the lab, Claudia enjoys long jogs, visiting dog parks, dancing, socializing with friends, and flying back to CA to visit her family and friends.
